Were you apart of the digital disruption that marked the opening day of SouthWiRED? Our opening day was filled with motivation, innovation and collaboration. The brightest stars from the digital community came to share their jewels of knowledge for our Social Media Track. To ignite the fire that resides in all of us, we had our keynote address from Ron Carpinella, the COO of Decooda.
The hallways were abuzz with all the information that was overflowing from the sessions.
We were able to get first-hand knowledge regarding tricks of the trade from notable companies such as Cox Communications, AirWatch, JWT Atlanta, IHG, Moxie, Home Depot, ScoutMob and many more. Attendees were able to get actionable steps that they can use to guide their social media strategy from firsthand accounts of major corporations. The energy from the sessions was so incredible that the disruption overflowed to the Twitter sphere where we were able to be the #9 trending topic during the lunch hour.
So what’s next? On Friday we will be hosting our first ever student track! UGA’s Terry College of Business will be hosting a student marketing track that will discuss the ends and outs of the digital media industry and discussing the most coveted topic for college students—how to land a J-O-B.
